FRED WEGLEY

DEPUTY GARRISON COMMANDER

 

Mr. Fred Wegley was born at Fort Carson, Colorado.  He has been around the US Army all his life and has worked with the US Army in a civilian capacity for over 27 years.  He has held the position of Deputy Garrison Commander in Baumholder, Germany since October 1992.

Mr. Wegley held positions of increasing responsibility related to garrison operations since 1981, to include: NAF Contracting Chief, MWR Services Division Chief, Principal Assistant to the DPCA Director, Deputy Director of Personnel and Community Activities, and Director of Personnel and Community Activities. 

Mr. Wegley’s installation management related training includes: Army Garrison Pre-Command Course (2002), U.S. Army Europe Area Support Group/Base Support Battalion Commander’s Course (1996), Army Installation Management Course (1994), Army Management Staff College (1993), and extensive training to the executive level in leadership, personnel management, equal opportunity, performance improvement methods, Army Family Morale, Welfare and Recreation operations, and anti-terrorism/force protection.
