St. Martin rides again

Every year, the annual Baumholder St. Martin’s parade through the streets of the village sees much participation by American children. This year, at least half of the children marching through the street were American. Father (Lt. Col.) Michael Honor read the St. Martin story in both languages to the children. Father Matthias Schmitz from the German Catholic church also participated in the festivities. Ottfried Walter portrayed St. Martin while proudly riding his tamest horse.
