Overview |
The mission of the Directorate of Public Works, Environmental Division is to manage USAG Baumholder’s environmental program to sustain the Garrison’s mission, quality of life and the environment while complying with environmental laws, regulations, policies and host nation environmental laws. The Garrison’s environmental program can be categorized into four areas: Compliance, Conservation, Restoration, and Pollution Prevention.
Major program areas of the ED include hazardous waste, pollution prevention, spill prevention and cleanup, storm water, air quality, asbestos, wastewater, cultural and archaeological resources, environmental documentation, and natural resources. We employ a Environmental Management System to manage our environmental program areas. Our division provides and coordinates environmental training and education for all involved unit and tenant activities in each of the pertinent program areas. We are responsible for reporting environmental program status to Army headquarters and Federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
Contact details for the Environmental Division can be found in the download module. |
